Live Free or Die Hard

I just recalled a movie with my man from the movie Hostage. Bruce Willis is the name and he starred in a amazing movie that had to do with the US government and how we can go to war through Technology, it even has a name for it, i think its Cyber-Warfare or sumthing but yeah, i reccomend this movie to everyone and maybe we can WATCH this in class. Its been a while since i watched it so heres the link to the summary.

Two lessons which touched me dearly...

First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady. During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one: 'What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?' Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times.. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. 'Absolutely,' said the professor.. 'In your careers you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say 'hello. 'I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

Second Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts... Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, 'Yes I'll do it if it will save her.' As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, 'Will I start to die right away?'. Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister ALL of his blood in order to save her and he had chosen to save her anyway.

I got this in an Email and it made me think, so I thought should share with
you all.

Dodge Viper hmm, I like :]

Now when you think of powerful, fast and AMERICAN cars, now car comes close to the Dodge viper, this may be the only car made right here at HOME that may have a chance to compete against the Supercars of Italy and Germany. You see theres not many cars out there who can surpass the 200 mph barrier and all of them run on premium gasoline. But this unique Viper known as Viper SVS runs on the renewable, fuel efficent E 85 gasoline. Now when you mention E 85 fuel to a performance freak, he will laugh at you, but Mr. Jacob the owner of the SVS showed otherwise by taking his street legal, 1200 HP beast powered by a twin turbo v-10 to the limit by taking it to a mindblowing 220.7 mph on a Michigan runway.

Chrome?!

Googles new broswer known as the Chrome may not be used as much as you thought, but a test by Cnet shows otherwise. The results show the the new Chrome beats Opera by a mere 1.2% and is left in the dust by IE with 40.7% and Mozilla Firefox with 37.4% and last but not least Apples Safari with 18.2%. This little random test shows that Chrome is day by day more tested and liked by its users, showing a positive slope up the charts. It might even be at the rank of IE one day, but dont get your hopes up, the chrome is still is in its so called BETA version as is all of Googles product.

" I put lamborgini doors on the Escalade "

Now when you think of new car technology nothing comes to mind better then the fast-moving hybrid car industry. You have many options in this choice of cars from the fuel-efficient Toyota Camry, to the luxurious Lexus LS600hl. But what do you have for those kind of people who like stuff BIG, Big house, Big money and BIG SUV'S. Now this is were my favorite hybrid comes in, introducing the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid. This car is loaded with features like its basic model but its more fuel efficient and it runs on pure electricity till about 20 mph. But on the down side its slightly over-expensive. But who cares your doing your part in saving the environment and being a big shot behind the wheel of an Escalade.

Symphony, Lotus Symphony. La La La...

IBM's Lotus Symphony is like Microsoft's Student Suite, It includes word documents, spreadsheets and presentations but in IBM style so basically in my opinion it isn't all that (no offense). Its based on the famous open-office but doesn't really compete with MS suites. It could use some more work to make it more user friendly and some updates would be nice to make it more useful. But if your willing to lose some features, this is your pick. Did I mention its also free, like other programs to but on the low side.

Not my choice period.

Video Games on the decline. OMG!

Video-Games are on there first decline in over 2 years. Well of course this was to happen, there havnt been any blockbuster hits recently not from Sony or Microsoft. Last year we had Halo 3 which was named the best selling-game of all time taking in billions of dollars. But even without Halo 3, sales last year were up by 26%. Maybe due to the bad economy people are putting down there controllers and tuning in on CNN. So go, dust your console, grab a game or two you had your eye on and PLAY!

Youtube, PBS, Vote!

PBS seems to be not getting enough piece if the action filled news lately so there way to get it comes not from there people but from you, me and everyone else. Heres the idea, when you go to drop your vote at any of the hundreds of designated voting polls take your video camera along to record the experience or whip it out if you notice some problem but beware of the rules and laws or you might find yourself in handcuffs. Now with this video you uploaded it to a new channel that Youtube has put up significantly for your 30 seconds to 3 minutes long clips of your voting day experience. With this people can view it and vote and the top ones will be played live on PBS. Now go and place your vote and don't forget to record the experience.

B Bold on Nov 4th

The Blackberry Bold is scheduled to debut on Nov 4th, the day of my birthday and now that I think about it, I'd prefer the Bold over any other phone. Even the New Peal 8220. I say this because as I just figured I am Blackberry Fanatic but more importantly I say this because it comes on the only service provider that is raising your bar, at&t. This is good especially for me because I can get it without having to unlock it, like I have to for the Pearl 8220. It is described as a huge step forward for the business class smart phones as well as its way of living up to its name with incredible speed, power and functionality all wrapped in a beautiful and elegant design. $!@# they are so right, the phone has such nice looks, makes you want to hold it in your hand instead of its case. The Bold has the same screen resolution as the iphone, and can hold up to 16gb of memory with an SD card and has everything a young entrepreneur such as my self needs such as 3G and Wi-Fi as well as GPS and bluetooth 2.0, well I know what I want for my B-Day.

WTH!!! Google in video-games?!

Google one of the leading company's in advertisement and online searching has added a new idea, days after it finished its G1 or Google phone unveiling. Well as strange as this sounds Google wants to get some of the action from the booming video-game industry so it started a demo version of Adsense for games. This will put game related advertisements on online games. Google's entry in the video-game buisness was long been anticipated but to me and others sounds very strange, (World Domination).

"AdSense for Games will show, for example, ads targeted at young men in sports and action games. The ads themselves would be videos that players watch before or after a game, or after completing a level."

A new type of Radio: Pandora Radio

A couple months ago as I was surfing the web, I came across a product that I never herd of. They call it Pandora and what it does is when you pick a genre or a specific song you can vote for it, now when you vote positive Pandora automatically picks songs that relate to it but if you choose negatively then it will find you something else. The goal here is to get the ultimate play-list so you never have to search for a song again.

New Blackberry Pearl

You might not all know this but the Blackberry Pearl is my all time favorite phone, yes even before the iphone. I am real picky when it comes to phones, everything has to throw the right vibe and I felt my style coming from the Pearl series. The 8100 is the most basic model and comes with everyday use capabilities, the slighter newer 8110 comes a little upgraded and has GPS so you will never get lost again. The newest model 8120 comes with something that makes life a whole lot easier, because it has Wi-Fi which makes every penny spent worth it, due to the fact that your able to answer you emails, shop online and check your stocks and all this in the palm of your hand. Now grab your seat tight because the news coming to you will make you scream (well at least it made me). Blackberry has unveiled a T-Mobile exclusive called the Blackberry Flip 8220 and its named this because now it comes in an amazing flip phone style and still bears the honor in wearing the Blackberry logo. Blackberry's goal in unveiling this phone for the market was that so it can take part in the competition to make the best multi-media phones. And man where the smart, the 8220 has a better camera, a improved screen and a new trackball and don't forget the Wi-Fi capabilities. The only negative point in this phone is that it runs on T-Mobile so for me to get my hands on one, ill have to unlock it first.
